Lu-Lu Dice is a simple game that the whole family can play. It is a purely luck game that is great for summer and players of different ages and skills.
History of Lu-Lu Dice
The game originated in the Hawaii. It actually doesn’t use dice, at least not the traditional dice. Instead, traditional players used rocks that were painted as dice.
The Dice
There are four Lu-Lu dice. One side is blank or decorated. This side is worth no points. The other side has dots showing either a value of 1, 2, 3, or 4.
How to Play Lu-Lu Dice
On a players turn, they put the dice in their hands and then toss them down onto the table or ground. The player then has one more turn to pick up any dice that isn’t showing a value and try to re-toss them. After the second toss, the player’s score is added up by counting the values showing on the dice. Any dice that is face down, or value side down, counts as 0.
If a player has been lucky and all dice land value side up, then he can re-toss all of the dice and add then to the score from his first toss. The first toss would be a score of 10.

After the second toss, and the score has been added up, then play moves onto the next player.

Winning Lu-Lu Dice
The first player to reach 100 points is the winner.
Making the Dice
Supplies
For this DIY game, you will need some thick cardboard, some scissors and something to write with. Optional are paper and glue. We have an easy print, cut and glue freebie in our fun library. You can get your password in the black box below or at the end of the post.

Note: If you have four flat rocks, it would be authentic to use them. You could buy some river rocks from Amazon.
What to do
First, print the template. Next, I recommend cutting out the value dice circles into squares. Next, glue them onto some thick cardboard. After the glue has dried, cut out the value dice.

Next, cut out the decorative side of the dice and glue them to the other side of the value dice.
Note: if you are not printing our template, cut four same sized circles out of cardboard. Then on one side of the discs, draw the dots on . One disc should have one dot. Another should have 2 dots and the last two should have 3 and 4 dots on them. You can leave the other side blank or decorate them any way that you would like.
Wait until all the glue is dry. Now you are ready to have a game of Lu-Lu dice. It makes a great summer game and early math practice for younger kids.

Above it states: Optional are paper and glue. We have an easy print, cut and glue freebie in our fun library. However, when I go to the fun library it is password protected. There is nowhere that I can find to request a password. How can I do this?
Hell, sorry for the late reply (I had a problem with notifications). You can get your password in the black box that appears below the paragraph that it was mentioned or at the end of the post, or the form in the side bar. There is the option to sign up with a Grow account as well as the box that pops up when you exit the page. I hope this is helpful!
