How to Play the MOTHER dice game

The MOTHER dice game is easy enough for the whole family and perfect for Mother’s Day to show Mom how much you love her.

What you Need for the MOTHER dice game

You will need five dice per player and a pen and paper to keep score.

How to Play MOTHER

Mom gets to go first.

If she tolls any 6s, she sets them to the side. If she rolls any 1s then she passes them to the player on her left. Her turn is now over and it’s the next player’s turn to roll.

The second player will roll all of his starter dice as well as any dice that were passed to him. This time, if he rolls any 6s, he passes them to Mom. Any 1s that he rolled are passed to the player on his left. His turn is now over.

The third player will roll all of her starter dice as well as any dice that were passed to her. As before, any 6s that she rolls are passed to Mom and any 1s are passed left.

Play continues until one player has passed all of his dice.

Scoring

The player who passed all of his dice gets an M under his name. The second time that a player passes all of her dice, she gets a O. This continues with the letters MOTHER.

Mom also gets a letter if she has collected at least two dice from each player.

Winning MOTHER dice game

The first player to collect all of the letters to spell MOTHER is the winner. This player may pass his title to Mom if he wishes, or maybe the winner gets to give Mom a hug or tell her something nice.

Playing MOTHER with Multiple Moms

If there are more than one Mom in the game, the mom who has the oldest child gets to go first.

When a player rolls a six, it one goes to the first mom to become a mom. The second six rolled goes to the mom who became a mom second and so on.

When the round is over, any mom who collected two dice from each player gets a letter.
