Is there a more classic childhood game than Cops and Robbers? The thrill of the chase! Will good win or will the robbers escape? The Cops and Robbers dice game brings all the fun and excitement to the game table.
This dice game is a race to see who will come out first. It’s a four player game that is played in partners. It’s prefect for crime lovers that love the dice game Mafia, Run For It and the card game Mafia Murder.
What You Need for Cops and Robbers Dice Game
You will need 1 die per player and a score sheet. Players need to be separated either on the cops’ team or the robbers’ team. The cops and robbers sit alternately at the table.
The first robber will start with 64 points and the second robber starts with 66 points. Both cops start at 75 points.
To make playing easier, we have a Cops and Robbers Dice score sheet in the Fun Library. (You can get your password by joining our email list.)
Playing Cops and Robbers Dice
To start, all players roll their die. The highest roll gets to deduct his rolled points from his score.

Next, the robber on that player’s left gets to roll. If a robber won the first roll then the cop between them is skipped.
Players then take turns in a clockwise fashion.
When a player rolls a 1, 2 or 3 she gets to deduct the corresponding number form her score. So if she rolls a two then she subtracts 2 points from her score.
When a player rolls a 4, 5 or 6 only two points are deducted from her score.
With the exception of the starting roll, there are actions with certain rolls.
First, when a 6 is rolled, then 2 points are subtracted and that player gets to roll again. On his second turn, the player only gets to score and not take any of the special actions. For example, if he rolls a second 6, then he subtracts another 2 points from his score and his turn is over.
Next, when a 5 is rolled then the player on her left misses a turn.

When a 4 is rolled the next two players miss their turns.
Last, if you roll the same number as the player before you, then it doesn’t count. You score 0 and your turn is over. For example, if player 1 rolls a 3 and player 2 rolls a 3 then player 2 scores 0 for that round.

Winning Cops and Robbers
The robbers win the game is they can both get to 0. On the other hand, the cops win if they can catch the robbers by getting a lower score than the robbers.
