Aces in the Pot is an easy dice game that is best played in a group. The game is based strictly on luck and who the winner will turn out to be is a surprise right up to the end.

What you Need for Aces in the Pot

You need two Bingo or Poker chips per player. Candies or other holiday related items can also be used to make it special. You also need two dice.

How to Play Aces in the Pot Dice Game

First, you need to know that the number one on dice is often referred to as the Ace.

Now to play, a player will roll both dice. When a 6 shows, the player will pass a chip to the player on the left. When Aces show, the player will put a chip in the middle. If doubles are rolled, the player will place both chips either in the middle or pass them left. When any other numbers are showing, the chips are safe.

Next, the second player rolls both dice. Again he follows the 6s and 1s rules.

When a player is out of chips, she doesn’t get to roll the dice. However, she is not out of the game as the player on her right can give her a chip at any time.

Winning Aces in the Pot

When one last chip is in play it gets interesting. The player with the last chip must roll three times without getting a 6. If she rolls a six, she passes the chip and dice to the left and that player then has to roll three times without getting a six. Ones at this point are safe.

When the player who has the last chip has rolled three times without getting a 6 wins the game.
