How to Play Help Your Neighbour Dice Game

To start, everyone gets assigned a number from 1 to 6.

If you are playing with 5 players, the 6 will be ignored. Similarly, if you are playing a 4 player game the 5 and 6 are ignored. When playing with 3 players, everyone gets two numbers. And if you`re playing with two players then you both get three numbers. It`s best if one player take the number 1, 2, 3 and the other 4, 5, 6 to make it easier to keep track.

The first player will roll the three dice. Everyone whose numbers have been rolled will need to place a chip into the pot except for the player who rolled. For example, if player A has rolled and has the number 1 a roll of 1, 3, 6 would have the players with 3 and 6 paying a chip but since Player A has the number 1 she doesn`t have to pay.

The players with the numbers 3 and 5 will each have to pay one chip. The 6 is ignored.

If you roll more than one of a number, that player will have to place that many chips into the pot. So if you roll two 5s, the player with 5 will have to put two chips in.

Help Your Neighbour Dice Game Variations

For a very old dice game there are very few game variations. The first one is that players will play a set number of rounds, say the same number of rounds as there are players. If a player runs out of chips, then they are out of the game.

The second variation is that all players put chips in when their numbers are rolled, despite who rolled.
