How to Set Up the Eagles Wings Card Game
To start, you deal 13 cards facedown in the middle of the playing area. This is the eagle’s body. Next, deal out four cards on each side of the body face up. These cards make up the eagle wings. Now, flip over the top card of the deck and place it above the body to make the head of the eagle. You’re now ready to start playing.
How to Play Eagle Wings Card Game
The card that makes up the eagle’s head is the first foundation pile. To start the other foundation piles, you will need to find the sane rank card of the other suits. For example, if it is the 9 of diamonds you will be looking for the other nines.

To build on the foundation piles, you will need the next card in that suit that is one higher in rank. In our example above, you would be looking for the 10 of diamonds.
If there are any cards in the wings that can be used in the foundation piles, place it on the correct pile. You will then flip over the next card from the body and place it in the empty spot. If you can place it do so and replace it with another card from the body.
When there are no cards that can be played from the wings, you flip over the top card of the draw deck. If you can place it, do so. Otherwise, flip over the next card in the deck. Cards can be taken from the wings at any time if they can be placed in the foundation piles. They are always replaced by cards from the body.
Going Around the Corner
When the foundation piles reach the king, they go around the corner. That is the next card you need to play is the ace of that suit and then the 2 and then the 3. When the body reaches the last card, you get to flip it over. After that, any empty spots that form in the wings can be filled from a card that is flipped over from the deck. An empty spot can be left empty until you find a card you wish to use.
You only get three runs throughs of the deck before the game is over. You can use any card on the discard pile that is exposed by using the top card of the discard pile.

Winning Eagle Wings Card Game
To win, you will need to get all the cards onto the foundation piles in the correct suits.
Eagle Wings Variations
I was only able to find a few variations of Eagle Wings.
First, the top card on the body is turned up and can be used in play. Second, is that you can stack up to three cards onto cards in the wings in descending order (that any cards placed on a card need to be one rank smaller than it).

Third, is called the children’s version. To start, you will pull out all of the aces from the deck. You will set up the game the same, except for the head. Instead of turning the top card over to start the foundation piles, you will use the aces. The next rule change is that you can stack as many cards on the wings as you can, as long as they are in descending order.
Fly With Fun
The Eagles Wings card game is easy to learn and fast to play. Personally, I like to play with the additional rule of being able to stack the three cards on the wings. This increases the odds that you will win without making it too easy. If you want the printable rules of this game click here.
