How Do I Play the 6 Hole Golf Game?

For each of the holes, your goal is to get 5 of the number of the hole you’re playing. Of course, you want to aim for the lowest amount of rolls for each hole.

To start, you will roll all five dice. Now you get to decide what hole you want to play.

For Hole number 1 you are aiming to get five 1s. For hole number 2 you are aiming to get five 2s and so on.

After picking your hole, set aside any dice that have that number on them. You will now reroll the remaining dice. Keep track of the number of rolls you have taken. Once you have all the dice showing the number of that hole, mark your score as the number of rolls it took you. For example, if it takes four rolls to get five 1s, your score for the first hole is 4. Your turn is over and the dice pass to the next player.

There is a 10 stroke maximum but there is a special roll for your 10th role. If on your 10th roll, you roll 5 of a kind you get to score zero for that hole.

What are other rules for 6 Hole Golf?

There are a few more rules that make the game interesting. First, is the Switch rule. Once per turn, you can decide to switch holes that you are rolling for. Your stroke count does not start over.

Gimme Putts

Once per game you can use a Gimme Putt. You can play this one of two ways: with an Addie or a Subtractsis.

For the Addie to take effect, you need to have three of your dice showing the correct number and the other two dice need to add up to the number that you need. For example, if on the third roll on the sixth hole you have three dice showing 6s and a 2 and a 4 you can use your Gimme Putt and mark the score of 3.

The Subtractsis works the same. You need to have three dice showing the correct number and you need to be able to subtract one of the numbers from the other number on the other dice to make the neded number. For example, if you’re on hole 5 and you have three dice with 5 and the other two dice are a 6 and a 1 you can subtract 1 from 6 to make 5.

Do you need to Play the Holes in Order?

You don’t need to play the holes in order. You can play them in any order that you choose.

When all players have scored all 6 holes, add up everyone’s stroke score. The player with the lowest score wins.

Pro 6 Hole Golf Dice Game Variation

When you are playing the 6 Hole Golf Dice game Pro variation, you play as usual with one difference. If you need to roll a 10th time, and you don’t get the numbers you need, you will add the dice together that are not showing that hole’s number and add it to 10 for your score. For example, if you are on hole 2 and on your 10th roll you have 2, 2, 4, 3, 5 you would add the 4, 3 and 5 together to get 12 and then add 10 to that score for an over all score of 22 for that hole.
