Must Play Christmas Dice Game: Santa’s Sleigh
I made up this dice game up back when I first started Family Game Shelf. And all this time later, it’s still one of our family favorites (the kids ask to play all year long.) There have been plenty of jokes about too many sleighs, Santa conventions and more elves than we know what to do with! You need one of each before you can pack Santa’s sleigh with presents. Must Play Christmas Dice Game: Grinch Dice
Ah the Grinch. Growing up it was always a must see on TV. We’d gather around the TV and delight in this classic show. Years later, we still gather on the couch with our kids, although now it’s on DVD and we can watch whenever we want. And this classic inspired me to make up Grinch Dice. Must Play Christmas Dice Game: Hockey
I’m not one for hockey (not very Canadian of me, I know) so when I was tasked with coming up with a way to play hockey with dice…it was a challenge. But when I was done, I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome! Hockey is great for any group size and it’s full of luck with just the right amount of silliness. Time for Silly Christmas Fun
Next on our must play Christmas dice game list is the one that warms my heart the most: Christmas Whacky Putt. Whacky Putt came from our love of miniature golf and dice. Who doesn’t love the bright colours and themes of a good mini golf course? But the season is so short. So I brought the fun and silliness to the game table. Each hole has a unique theme, action and goal. And when Christmas rolled around that year, I just had to make a Christmas version! Must Play Christmas Dice Game: 12 Days of Christmas
My kids love the classic song 12 Days of Christmas. Their love inspired me to create the dice game with the same name. Each round, you’re trying to get as many partridges or turtle doves or French hens as you can, depending on what round it is. Check out the 12 Days of Christmas dice game here. Must Play Christmas Dice Game: Turkey Run
Can you be the turkey that runs the fastest and gets away? Find out in this dice game that’s good for a group. Although originally created for Thanksgiving, Turkey Run is prefect for Christmas too. Learn how to play here.
Snow Time!
Is there anything more italic than a nice blanket of snow covering the ground on Christmas morning? And with that snow comes our next must play Christmas dice game: Snowball.
