In the summer we brought the fun of mini putt inside with our game Whacky Putt. We had such a great response, and it was so much fun, that we made Whacky Putt Halloween!

Whacky Putt Halloween Cards
There are ten new holes that all have fun Halloween themes—all with new actions and new goals for each hole for lots of laughs and fun. There is a Monster Mash hole, a Slimer’s hole and my personal favorite Witch’s Brew hole.
Just like in the original Whacky Putt, there is a variety of goals for the holes. Some holes you are trying to roll just one number, others a combination of numbers and others you’re trying to avoid rolling certain numbers. And the actions will make you laugh and really get into the Halloween spirit.

What you Need for Whacky Putt
You will need the Whacky Putt Halloween cards and five dice. We like to play with everyone having their own coloured dice to add to the mini golf feel of the game. You will also need a score card, just like in mini golf.
How to Play Whacky Putt Halloween
There are ten cards to play. We made ten cards for extra fun (and we just love Halloween.) You can choose to play 9 holes or you can chose to play 18 holes by repeating the holes. With ten cards in the game, you can either chose to set one card out or include it as a bonus hole. You can also add your favorite original holes to the Halloween holes to make 18.
Just like the original, you can shuffle the cards and out them face down, flipping over one card at a time to add surprise to the game. Or you can choose your order to play them in.
One player will read the instructions for the hole and then take his turn. The amount of dice rolls he take to achieve the hole’s goal is his score. When his turn is over, the next player will follow the directions on the card and roll her dice, trying to get the best score that she can.
When all players have scored that hole, the next card is flipped over and read then played.

Whacky Putt’s Penalty
When a player fails to do the action of the hole, she will face a penalty of one stroke. Therefore, it will cost you to forget or refuse to do the fun actions.
Winning Whacky Putt Halloween
When players have played and score all nine (or eighteen) holes, the scores are added up together. The player with the smallest score wins the game.
Alternative Play
Just like in the original game, you can make it easier to keep score by having the player who has the least rolls for the hole keep the card. This way there is no adding up numbers. It also makes it fun for younger players to see the holes that they win. At the end of the game, count how many cards each player has and the one with the most cards wins. Or you can just celebrate how many cards each player has won.
