Halloween is one of my most favorite times of the year—the parties, the make believe, the fall colours. And in those Halloween parties, of course you’d want to play some Halloween games. We have some great games for just such an occasion—Vampire dice, Trick or Treat dice, Boo and Whacky Putt Halloween. And now we’ve created a brand new Halloween Dice game: Grim Reaper.
This is a great party game that the more players the better. It’s fast and easy too but hilarious. (If the name bothers you, you can change it to Caught You instead.)

What You Need For Grim Reaper
You will need one dice per player plus one extra, preferably of a different colour or size.
Playing Grim Reaper
To start this Halloween dice game, you need to roll the extra dice. This number is the Grim Reaper number.
Next, all players roll their dice at the same time. Anyone with the Grim Reaper number will try to kill a player on either side of them. All other players are trying to protect themselves from any killers.

To do this, a Grim Reaper will cover the other player’s dice, therefore killing them. That player is now out of the game.
On the other hand, if a player sees a Grim Reaper beside them, they can cover their won dice with their own hand to escape death.

Now, you can either keep the Grim Reaper number the same or you can reroll the dice and get a new number. Round two plays the same with either trying to kill other players or escaping death.

More than one player can be eliminated in the same round.
If there are no Grim Reapers in the roll, then everyone is safe and moves on to the next round.
On the other hand, if all the players are Grim Reapers then again everyone is safe and moves onto the next round.
Winning Grim Reaper Halloween Dice Game
When it gets down to just two players left, the first time that a Grim Reaper number is rolled, then the Grim Reaper wins if she can cover the other player’s dice. If the other player covers his dice to be safe, then he wins the game.

Escape for Halloween Fun
Whether you’re safe or are the Grim Reaper, all players will have a hoot playing this easy dice game. I think it make a great addition to Halloween parties. It’s a game everyone can play with little set up or rule learning.
