13 Halloween Games

As the weather turns cooler, we love to come inside and play games! We also love Halloween. So, to merge the two and prolong Halloween, we have created this list of Fun Family Halloween Games!

1)  Monster Bingo
Ages: 3 and up, 2 to 4 players

Who doesn’t like a good game of BINGO? Add in some monsters and you have a Halloween game hit.

2) Candyland

Ages 3 and up, 2 to 4 players

With thoughts of candy in our heads, it’s a great time to dig out this classic pre-school game. 

3) The Secret Door

Ages: 5 – 7, One to 8 players

This is a co-operative game from Family Pastimes. Players work together to figure out what treasures are being stolen from their house before time runs out. A new twist on the classic memory game with spooky but not scary graphics. The whole game is made with environmentally friendly so not scary for our Earth.

4) Cauldron Quest

Ages: 6 and up, 2 to 4 players

This is another co-operative game where players collect ingredients to cast a spell to save the kingdom form a dark spell. 

5) Ghost Blitz

 Ages: 8 and up, 2 to 4 players

In this game, four objects are set out on the table. On each card there is a picture of two or more objects, players race to grab the correct item–but first have to figure out which item is correct by using their powers of observation.

6) Smithsonian Mission Museum: The Case of the Missing Mummy
 Ages: 8 and up, 2 or more players

In this co-operative game, players race to find the magic spell to put the mummy back to sleep before he reaches the front door and escapes into the world. Players answer riddles, puzzles and trivia questions to gain access to the magic words. Read the full review of this game here.

7) Funko Disney the Haunted Mansion — Call of the Spirits

Ages: 8 and up, 2 to 4 players

Disney fans will love the chance to explore the Haunted Mansion in this card collecting game that has hitchhiking ghosts.

8) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone Mystery at Hogwarts game

Ages: 8 and up

Someone has cast a forbidden spell in Hogwarts and it’s up to the players to be the first to figure out who it was, what spell it was and in what room it was in. Perfect for Halloween and Harry Potter fans. You can read the full review of this game here.

9) Clue

Ages: 8 and up, 2 to 6 players

This classic murder mystery game is great for Halloween. Was it Miss Scarlet in the kitchen with the poison?   For younger kids Clue Jr gives a less spooky mystery. You can read our review of it here.

10) Wizard

Ages: 10 and up, 3 to 6 players

This is the ultimate trump card game. Players bid at the beginning of each round how many tricks they are going to take. If they guess correctly, there are big points to be had; if they are incorrect, they lose points. It’s easy to play, hard to master and wizards trump all.

11) Escape Rooms

What could be more terrifying than being locked in a room with only your wits to escape? With most escape rooms having spooky or creepy themes, it makes them perfect Halloween games. Several different companies offer them, including Exit, Unlock and the Escape Room brand.

12) Zombie Dice

Ages: 10 and up, 2 or more players

In this prefect for Halloween game, players are zombie trying to eat brains. Roll the 13 custom dice to collect 13 yummy brains and you win.

13) Murder Mystery

This one is for the adults, or for teens. there are many murder mystery party games. You get to dress up, play a character and figure out who the murder is, all that’s missing for a Halloween game is the candy! Our favorite brand is University Games Murder Mystery Party Game.
