How to Play Witch’s Brew Dice Game

Halloween is one of the best times of the year. You can be anything you want on Halloween—including a witch. Maybe especially a witch.

We love Halloween here–the fun dress up kind, not so much the spooky gorgy kind. If you’ve looked around I’m sure this will be no surprise to you as we have a ton of Halloween games – Boo, Trick or Treat, Vampire Dice, Grim Reaper and my favorite Halloween Whacky Putt. These are just some of the original games that we have. And today we have another Halloween Dice game: Witch’s Brew.

This is a fun, although sometimes frustrating game, for any number of people that is prefect for Halloween parties or family game night.

What you Need for Witch’s Brew Dice Game

You will need 6 standard dice and something to keep score with. You will also need to call your inner witch as it’s more fun to play when you crackle, give the stink eye and pretend to be adding ingredients to your brew.

Playing the Halloween Dice Game Witch’s Brew

To start, the first player rolls all 6 dice. Next, you need to pick one rolled number to put into the brew.

You will need to put all of that number into the brew. Once the dice are set aside, then you reroll all the remaining dice.

Now you need to pick another number to add to the brew. As before, all of that number must be put in. Once a number has been added to the brew, it can’t be added again. For example, if you’ve added 6s to the brew then you can’t add any more 6s.

You keep adding numbers and rerolling until you either put all the dice into the brew or you roll only numbers that are in the brew. When all the dice are added, then the score is 0 and you pass the dice to the next player. On the other hand, when you have rolled only numbers that are in the brew, you add up the sum of those numbers for your score. Your turn is over and play moves on.

Winning Witch’s Brew

The first player to reach 31 points gets to be the taste tester for the brew. The other players get to decide on what the spell will be (maybe to be able only to meow for a minute or dance like a Skelton).

Trickier Times
