Playing Sevens Out

The object of the game is to be the player with the most points. First, you need to decide on a point value to play to. A game that goes to 500 points or 1000 points makes a nice game.

On your turn, you roll both dice. If the sum is 7, you score 0 and your turn is over. On the other hand, if the sum is anything other than 7, you roll again. Your score is what the sum was. Again, if you roll a 7, your turn is over. Your score is what the sum was before you rolled a 7. If you rolled anything but a 7, then you add the sum to your score and roll again.

Roll 1: 3, 6 score is 9.
Second Roll: 3,3 so 3+3 = 6 and then double it so it’s now 12 and add it to roll 1 for a score of 21.
Roll 3: 1,5 so 1+5 = 6 and 6 + 21 for a score of 27
Roll 4: 2,5 for a sum of 7
This players turn is over and she scores 27 points for the round.

It is possible that a player will score 0 points in a round if they rolled a 7 on their first roll.
