Father’s Day Game Guide – Card Games
My own Dad loves to hang out and have fun, but board games are not his style. Instead, he can always be talked into a good game of cards. Here are some of the best card game for Father’s Day Weekend:
Horse Race
This super easy card game mimics a horse race game. You can play just for fun or you can gamble candy or coins. It may be the easiest card game ever. Line up your horses, place your bets and see what cards come up. You can get the full rules here.
James Bond
What Dad hasn’t at least once wanted to be a spy and drive around in a totally cool car? Although this card game won’t accomplish that, it has a cool name and is a blast for all ages. James Bond is an easy card game that Grandpa, Dad and the kids will love. You can learn how to play James Bond here.
Card Golf
Golf is the traditional Father’s Day Weekend game. You can bring the fun indoors or to the patio with this easy card game that’s cooler than lugging a club bag around the course. To read the full rules of Card Golf—6, 8, 9 or 18 holes and all the rule variations here. You can also get a free score sheet in our Fun Library.
Cheat
Oh the shenanigans you can have while trying to cheat and lie your way through this card game. Does Dad have a “tell” or can he spot yours too well? Find out in this easy to play card game. Read the full rules for Cheat here.
Blind Poker
Speaking of nonsense, Blind Poker is the ultimate hoopla of crazy. You only have one card, that you can’t see. Will you risk it and go in or will you fold? This might just be the silliest card game I’ve ever played. You can learn all the nonsense here.
Five Crowns
This card game is a little more serious but easy enough for the whole family to play. Dads are the Kings of their families and in this game this game isn’t over until the Kings go wild! You can get your copy of 5 Crowns here (Canadians can get theirs here) or you can learn how to play with regular playing card here. You can get your free score sheet that’s good for either version in our Fun Library.
