Celebrate this year with a Halloween dice game. Gather some dice and some friends and play our new dice game Trick or Treat!
Here at Family Game Shelf, we love dice games (Stuck in the Mud or Ohio anyone?) We also love Halloween so that could explain how many Halloween dice games we’re created. Trick or Treat is just the first one! We have Boo, Vampire Dice, and Whacky Putt Halloween edition. We even show you how to put it all together in a fun gift bag with our Halloween Candy Dice game that you can get in our Free Fun Library (You can get your password in the black box below) Get your Halloween on with the fist of these games!

What you need for Trick or Treat Halloween Dice Game
You need three dice for every player and a score sheet. We love to play with coloured dice to make it easy to keep track of everyone’s dice. If you need some new dice shop for dice here; Canadians here.
How to Play Trick or Treat
You can play with as many people as you have dice for. As in real life, you need a buddy to go trick or treating. To do this, you need to roll doubles. Everyone rolls their dice at the same time, trying to get doubles. If you roll doubles, you’re in. On the other hand, if you haven’t rolled doubles, you get two more turns to roll them. After three tries, you’re out and can’t go trick or treating.
Next, all the players who are in (who rolled doubles) roll one dice. The highest roll wins the candy, aka the points. You score the amount of the winning roll.
For example, if the highest roll for the round is a 4, then you would add 4 points to the winner’s score.

Play then starts again with players trying to roll doubles to get into the trick or treating.

Tie breaker
If there is a tie, then the tied players roll the one dice again until one player beats the other.
Rolling Halloween Dice Triplets
When you roll triplets of a number, you automatically win that round and score the face value of the triplet. For example, if you rolled three fives, then you would score 5. You must roll triplets at the same time.

Winning Trick Or Treat Halloween Dice Game
The player who reaches 50 candy points wins all the candy! For extra fun, hand out some actual Halloween candy to the winner.
