What Do I need for the 50 UP Dice Game?

You will need 6 dice for each player and a score sheet. If you need to get more dice, we suggest getting coloured dice so that everyone can have dice in their favorite colour. (Canadians can get their dice here.)

How Do I Play the 50 UP Dice Game?

Unlike a lot of dice games, in 50 UP all players roll at the same time. On the first turn, everyone rolls all of their dice. Next, each player lines up their dice in runs. The run do not need to start with 1. They can start with any number.

Next, players see who has the longest run. Only this player score for the round. The winner, adds up all the pips on their dice and that is their score for the round.

For the second and all other rounds, all players again roll their dice and the player with the longest run earns points.

Ties

There are a couple of way to deal with ties. First, you can decide that no player wins points. Opposite to that you could give points to all tied players.

Second, you can have the tied players roll again. The player with the longest run then wins the points.
